Public programs are open to everyone interested in beginning or continuing an existing meditation practice. The following classes, retreats and open meditations have a broad appeal and are designed to meet the needs and interests of people coming from many backgrounds and interests, including
Clear Mind, Open Heart: Weekly Class July 8th - August 12th 6 Tuesday evenings 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Mindfulness meditation strengthens attention and allows us to let go of distractions. We learn to appreciate the simplicity and peace of the present moment. Through regular meditation practice our mind becomes increasingly clear, calm, flexible and aware. The contemplation practice of loving kindness is a well established method of opening the heart, developing more love and caring both for ourselves and others. It is the companion practice to mindfulness. Together they fulfill each other. Basics of Weekly Class August 4th - August 25th 4 Monday mornings 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
In this four week course you will learn the basics of mindfulness meditation and how to begin or continue a daily practice.
