The practices of mindfulness and loving kindness are like the two wings of a bird - when practiced together, they allow us to soar to the heights of our human potential.

The Liberating Power of Forgiveness

A Day-Long Meditation Retreat

Saturday August 14th

9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

handholdingcandle-www.hirideyo.com Feelings of hurt, anger, resentment and ill-will are natural responses when we feel ourselves wronged by other people.  And regret, shame and guilt arise when we feel responsible for harming someone else.  But whether we are the injured party or the offending one, when we are unable to forgive - we trap ourselves in cycles of blame or feelings of unworthiness.   Cultivating forgiveness is a simple and direct way to melt the hardness that closes our hearts and keeps us in our pain.  It brings a sense of resolution so that we can return again to a place of open affection towards ourselves and others.  Through forgiveness we let go of what binds us and rediscover tenderness, peace and compassion.

This day-long retreat will be devoted to learning and practicing meditations on forgiveness.   We’ll focus on forgiving ourselves as well as others – exploring how to restore the sense of right relationship.  This program will combine sessions of mindfulness with guided meditations and the Oneness Blessing.
