The Clear Light Meditation Group offers relevant and engaging study and practice of the rich teachings on spiritual enlightenment found in the Buddhist tradition.  Experienced teachers offer classes designed for beginners to seasoned meditators.  Half-day and weekend retreats complement the course offerings.

The group is open to anyone interested in learning to live a life of deeper presence, awareness and compassion.  Our study program draws upon and preserves the integrity of thousands of years of Buddhist teachings on mindfulness, insight into the nature of reality, unbiased compassion, and sacred visualization.  Following a non-sectarian approach to spirituality, teachers engage students with a range of interactive techniques and opportunities for insights from both Buddhism and contemporary western psychology.  One does not have to consider oneself a Buddhist to participate in our programs since many of the teachings and practices presented may benefit anyone regardless of spiritual orientation and can be used to support one's faith of origin.

Unique to the Program:

  • We offer a graduated series of classes and retreats appropriate for all, from first-time meditators to those with many years of practice.
  • Experienced,  highly qualified teachers,  --each of whom draws upon many years of practice and study-- providing guidance and instruction crafted to meet the needs of the individual.

  • A synergistic approach to combining insights from contemporary psychology and traditional Buddhism is employed with an eye to making study and practice meaningful and applicable in today's complex world.
