Non-Dual Awakening
Through Unconditional Love - Part II

This class is open to anyone who meets Level II eligibility requirements regardless of whether or not you attended part I.  If you did not attend Part I, it is recommended to read the first 4 chapters of the book prior to class.

Weekly Class

July 7th - August 11th

6 Monday evenings     7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

AwakeningThroughLove_edited.jpgRelaxing in the practice of natural awareness, there is a deep sense of coming home; a sense of unconditional wholesomeness and fundamental goodness that radiates as genuine affection for everyone and everything.  This is the discovery of the heart aspect of wakefulness; natural tenderness that melts the hardness of our being and allows the seed of non-dual awakening to grow.  During the summer term we’ll continue to mix our formless practice of natural awareness with the relative practice cultivating love for all aspects of our life.  As we become more familiar with opening into love, we’ll include life situations, emotions and people that are more challenging.  Some of the themes we’ll explore in the practice include the discovery of ‘pure’ perception, equanimity and embodying the goodness that we are.

Readings for this class will be taken from Awakening Through Love, by John Makransky.  John is professor of Buddhism and Comparative Religion at Boston College and a teacher within the Dzogchen lineage of Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche, one of the principal masters of Tsoknyi Rinpoche.

Cost:  $75 if registered by July 1st, $100 thereafter

Instructor:  Nancy & Scott McBride

Location:  The Main Line Unitarian Church
