Emptiness Dancing:

Exploring the Non-Dual Teachings of Adyashanti

Weekly Class
Two Registration Options:  Live Classroom or Audio via the Internet

September 14th - November 30th

12 Tuesday evenings     7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Emptiness Dancing In Buddhism, the term “Emptiness” is one of the principal words used to describe the direct experience of Being, an experience which transcends both word and thought.  It refers to the essential nature of unconditioned Awareness -- a vast stillness and loving silence – the very space in which everything exists.  Our lives are the creative dance of this Emptiness as it flowers into form.

In these meetings together, you are invited to rest deeply in silence and share the living quality of Awakening beyond the concepts of self and other.  We will use the dynamic teachings of Adyashanti as a basis for inquiry into our experience.  Adyashanti is an American-born teacher trained in Zen and the direct path of awakening.  Classes will include meditation, exercises and sharing.  Participants are asked to obtain a copy of Emptiness Dancing by Adyashanti, and begin reading before the first class.

Please note: ClearLight’s curriculum is designed to take students through a graduated path of learning.  This particular class is the most advanced in the Level I curriculum, so there are special pre-requisites to ensure that students are at the same level of experience.  It is not recommended as your first ClearLight Level I course -- unless you have experience in the non-dual style of meditation.  We suggest a minimum 2 years of regular daily meditation practice in mindfulness and awareness, and some stability in tranquility and insight.  This class is the natural follow up for those who participated in the “Radical Acceptance” and/or “Translucent Ground of Being” classes.

Intensives

“No matter what activity or practice we are pursuing, there isn’t anything that isn’t made easier through constant familiarity and training.  Through training, we can change, we can transform ourselves.”                    -The Dalai Lama

One Day Intensives are an opportunity to deepen and revitalize your meditation practice.  There is no substitute for intensive practice.  For the mind that thirsts for peace and contentment, intensive practice is like drinking deeply from a mountain stream.

Awakening the Buddha Within

A Day-Long Meditation Intensive for Committed Meditators

Saturday December 4th

9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Buddha3 - pics4learning.com Within each of us right now there is an unlimited Presence that is the source of our experience.  When we stop the spiritual search for something outside ourselves, the silent Buddha, unconditioned Awareness, can be seen truly as it is.  Once recognized, the flowering of the spiritual path begins to unfold.  In this retreat we will share in this unfolding through meditation, talks, exercises and discussion.

This meditation intensive is an ideal companion to “Emptiness Dancing”, but it is also open to committed meditators.  We suggest a minimum of 2 years of regular daily meditation practice in mindfulness and awareness, some stability in tranquility and insight, and interest in the non-dual style of meditation.
